A young child and her father were uninjured after a rollover crash in Shawnigan Lake on Friday.
The father was on Malta Road taking the child to daycare when the van skidded off the icy road and rolled down an embankment about 8:30 a.m., said Shawnigan Lake RCMP Const. Robert Katic.
The van ended up on its wheels but was completely destroyed.
The child and father were wearing seatbelts and were not injured, Katic said.
