London Drugs is selling boxes of Girl Guides of Canada’s famous chocolate and vanilla sandwich cookies on behalf of Girl Guides amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Girl Guides of Canada’s annual door-to-door cookie sale has been cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions — but that doesn’t mean you have to go without.

London Drugs is selling the classic chocolate and vanilla Girl Guide cookies at all of its stores in B.C. and online.

The cookie sale — the largest fundraising support for the Girl Guides program across B.C. — is expected to bring in $600,000. London Drugs said all sales will go to the Guides.

Diamon Isinger, provincial commissioner for Girl Guides in B.C., said the group is grateful for the support.

“Our non-profit Guiding programs are fully volunteer-powered and rely on amazing support from our communities.”

Funds will support newly adopted initiatives for safe outdoor, virtual and at-home activities, as well as inclusion resources and membership subsidies for girls with financial need.
