New skate and bike parks are coming to Topaz Park for next summer, along with a new artificial turf field.
Victoria councillors have approved concept designs for the new features, created with guidance from skateboarders and biking enthusiasts.
The skate and bike parks will include a variety of terrain suitable for all levels, including a bike pump track.
Victoria council previously approved $3.8 million for skate and bike parks and $4.3 million for the field replacement as initial investments in the park’s improvement plan.
The field, the city’s most popular, is at the end of its life and replacement is necessary, according to a city report.
The project is expected to be complete next summer.
