Nanaimo residents are being asked for ideas on ways to improve the city’s key downtown intersection at Terminal Avenue and Commercial Street.
The 500 block of Terminal Avenue, known as the “Hub,” is already in the midst of improvements, with plans to add cycling and walking connections and spruce up the street.
Citizens are urged to comment on the area’s historic buildings and ways to make the area welcoming and businesses more desirable and accessible.
Nanaimo is promoting redevelopment along Terminal and encouraging pedestrians. The overall goal is to create a more vibrant, inclusive and connected downtown.
To participate in the survey, go to getinvolvednanaimo.ca/thehub. It will be available starting Thursday until Oct. 4.
