Nanaimo RCMP are trying to identify a man in a surveillance photo who is alleged to have stolen a $150 blender and then threatened an employee who confronted him.
Video of the suspect shows him walking out of the store with the blender tucked under his arm. He was followed from a distance and seen driving away in a burgundy Nissan Frontier pickup.
No licence plate number was obtained.
The man is described as white and about six feet and 190 pounds. He was wearing a grey jacket over a black hoodie, a black baseball cap, jeans and blue medical mask.
Police ask anyone with information to call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345.
