Nanaimo RCMP are investigating after a man with a gun held up a convenience store on Sunday night.
According to police, a man entered the Northridge Gas N Go convenience store, located at Turner Road and Uplands Drive, just after 8 p.m., produced a gun and ordered the clerk to give him cash from the till. He fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
No employees were injured in the robbery.
A police dog and several officers were able to track the suspect to Oliver Road and Highway 19A, but couldn’t find the track beyond that.
The suspect is described as white and possibly 30 to 40 with a slim build. He was wearing a dark hoodie, toque, gloves and blue jeans.
