A collision between a moped and a pickup truck on Lower Ganges Road on Salt Spring Island sent a tourist to hospital.
Salt Spring RCMP said the northbound moped crossed the centre line in the Friday incident.
The rider, who was visiting Salt Spring with her family from Alberta, was airlifted to hospital in Victoria and treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
