Langford has added three car-share vehicles to the community in a partnership with car co-op Modo.

Two electric vehicles and one hybrid will now be available for use by the public in Langford during the day, with plans for the city to use them in the evening.

The city sees the initiative, funded by its development community, as a way to use carsharing to support its operations while providing an affordable and sustainable alternative to private vehicle ownership for residents.

“Collaborating with Modo allows the city to take an innovative approach to delivering city services, reach our climate action targets and provide both Langford residents and businesses with another affordable and accessible transportation option.” Said Mayor Stew Young.

The three shared vehicles will be located in downtown Langford.

Modo is offering $50 in free drive time when joining online with the promo code LANGFORDSHARES.
