Firefighters from three fire departments are battling a fire that started at a Langford construction site early Saturday afternoon.

The Langford Fire Department is on the scene, with the Colwood and View Royal fire departments assisting.

The blaze started at a group of four townhouses under construction on Echo Valley Place at Gardner Creek, a residential development located near the corner of Echo Valley Drive and Bear Mountain Parkway.

West Shore RCMP closed Bear Mountain Parkway between Echo Valley Drive and Goldeneye Way and restricted traffic at Arngask Avenue and Echo Valley Drive. The roads reopened about 8 p.m.
