No one was injured when fire broke out Saturday afternoon in a commercial business on Russell Street.
Victoria firefighters arrived to find dark visible smoke coming from the roof of the building. They managed to contain the fire in a roof void space, attacking the fire both internally and externally.
Parts of the roof had to be removed to gain access to the fire.
Smoke had damaged about $400,000 worth of products inside the building. The building sustained about $100,000 worth of damage.
The fire is not believed to be suspicious, said Victoria police spokesman Cam MacIntyre.
