Anna Junge, a past president of the Victoria Filipino Canadian Association, was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, in 2017, and told she had only 12 months to live.

She is now raising funds for the Brain Tumour Foundation by joining the organization’s virtual walk.

Members of the Victoria Filipino Canadian Association are pitching in by selling dishes for takeout — including chicken abodo, pancit noodles, menudo, lumpia, and tilapia and bangus fish.

Meals can be picked up between 4 and 6 p.m. today at the Philippine Bayanihan Centre, 1709 Blanshard St., near Fisgard Street. Order ahead by emailing [email protected] or calling 250-472-1898 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. today.

For more information, go to Anna’s Brain Tumour Fundraiser 2020 on Facebook.
