Equipment stolen from paramedics tending to patient on Victoria street

Victoria police are working to identify a suspect after medical equipment was stolen from B.C. Ambulance Service paramedics while they were tending to a patient.

Photos of the suspect in the Aug. 6 incident in the 500-block of Ellice Street have been released.

A case of equipment was taken. The case later turned up but some of the equipment was missing.

The cost of the missing items is termed “significant.”

The suspect is described as 25- to 35-years-old and six feet tall with a heavy build — weighing about 220 pounds. He had short, dark-brown hair and a brown goatee, and was wearing dark work boots, dirty tan work pants and a greyish-blue T-shirt with a red logo on the front.

He also had a distinctive black-and-red work harness and tool kit.
