A dispute between two passengers on a sailing from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen led to a 40-minute delay and a call to police.

The Coastal Celebration was on its 2 p.m. sailing on Wednesday when the incident took place.

“They weren’t co-operating with our staff so we called the Delta police,” said B.C. Ferries spokesperson Deborah Marshall.

The delay came when police boarded the ferry to meet the passengers at Tsawwassen, she said.

The Delta police could not be reached for comment.
