A vehicle crash has closed Highway 19 in both directions near Port Hardy.
The Port Hardy Fire Department confirmed the crash and highway closure but did not immediately provide any detail.
Drive B.C. says a vehicle incident at the Rupert Main, 11 kilometres south of Port Hardy, resulted in the closure of Highway 19 in both directions.
There are no detours.
Vehicle access is being limited to emergency personnel.
Port Hardy RCMP are investigating.
