Canada Day shooting damages car, townhome in Langford

West Shore RCMP are asking for the public’s help after a shooting in the 2800 block of Jacklin Road on Thursday. An unoccupied vehicle and a townhome were hit by shots that were reported around 10:45 p.m. No one was injured.

The arrest of the 30-year-old man May 10 followed a search carried out by the West Shore RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit at a residential Langford property on Moyes Road, near Treanor Avenue.

West Shore RCMP are asking for the public’s help after a shooting in the 2800 block of Jacklin Road on Thursday.

An unoccupied vehicle and a townhome were hit by shots that were reported around 10:45 p.m. No one was injured.

“At this time it appears that bullets struck both a vehicle and the townhome behind it,” said Cst. Jesse Schroeder of the West Shore RCMP serious crime section. “Thankfully, no one was injured, but this could easily have been a different story.”

Anyone who saw anything suspicious or has surveillance footage of the area is asked to contact the RCMP on 250-474-2264.
