The body of a missing North Saanich man was found Wednesday by searchers in Horth Hill Regional Park.

Search crews combed the 36-hectare park for two days after the 64-year-old’s pickup truck was found in the parking lot. There is no indication that his death was suspicious, Sidney/North Saanich RCMP said.

Paul Hare had last been seen Sunday in his North Saanich home, and was reported missing Monday by his wife.

Peninsula Emergency Measures Organization searchers were joined by groups from a number of other communities, including Metchosin, Cowichan, Salt Spring and Nanaimo, said Sidney/North Saanich RCMP Const. Meighan de Pass.

She said dozens of searchers and volunteer search-and-rescue dogs took part in the efforts to find Hare.
