B.C. Ferries cancels sailings on Comox-Powell River and Cortes Island-Quadra Island runs

Winds of 60 to 80 kilometres per hour have led to the cancellation of B.C. Ferries sailings in the north Island area this morning.

On the Comox to Powell River run, the 6:15 a.m. ferry leaving Comox and the 8:05 a.m. ferry leaving Powell River were cancelled.

The Cortes Island to Quadra Island ferry was cancelled at 7:50 a.m. from Cortes Island and 9:05 a.m. from Quadra Island.

Travellers with reservations on cancelled sailings who have not yet checked in at the terminal will be refunded, while those who have checked in will get a spot on the next available sailing.
