Two Thursday-morning sailings between Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen were cancelled because of a problem with the ship's rudder.
The Queen of New Westminster was out of service due to "a problem with its rudder," according to a notice from B.C. Ferries. The 8 a.m. departure out of Tsawwassen and the return 10 a.m. trip from Swartz Bay were cancelled.
B.C. Ferries says the mechanical problem has been resolved.
Meanwhile, the ferry corporation says the Spirit of British Columbia is operating 35 minutes behind schedule due to a "medical emergency experienced by one of our customers, which required immediate attention."
The 9 a.m. sailing from Swartz Bay is expected to arrive in Tsawwassen at 11:10 a.m.
