Oilers' Hyman, Bolts' Stamkos, Ducks' Zegras named NHL's three stars of the week

NEW YORK — Edmonton left-wing Zach Hyman, Tampa Bay centre Steven Stamkos and Anaheim centre Trevor Zegras have been named the NHL three stars of the week.

Hyman led the league with nine points (four goals, five assists) and a plus-8 rating to help the Oilers post a 3-0-0 week and extend their winning streak to six games.

Hyman had a goal and two assists and set up Warren Foegele’s decisive goal in a 5-2 triumph over the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday. 

He had two goals in a 5-3 victory against Tampa Bay on Thursday and capped the week Saturday with his second career four-point game (one goal, three assists) in a 4-2 win over Vancouver. 

The 30-year-old Hyman has points in five straight contests dating to Jan. 13 (four goals, eight assists).

Stamkos became the 47th player in NHL history to reach the 500-goal milestone when he posted his 11th career hat trick in a 5-2 win over Vancouver on Wednesday. He finished the week with five goals and an assist over four games.

Zegras had four goals and four assists over four games, including his fifth career three-point performance (two goals, one assist) in a 6-3 loss to Buffalo on Saturday.
