A man wanted since October in connection with a double homicide in Calgary has turned himself in to police.

John Jay Ward, 20, is facing two counts of manslaughter. Ward, who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, had reportedly been seen in the Comox Valley, but Comox Valley RCMP said officers were unable to determine whether he was hiding in the area.

Ward was the third person to face charges after police responded to a report of shots being fired Aug. 28 in Calgary’s Sandstone neighbourhood and found two men dead in a vehicle.
