Oceanside RCMP are looking for witnesses to an incident where a man reportedly slapped a female on the buttocks before exposing his own buttocks near the playground at Rathtrevor Beach in Parksville.
Police were told the assault happened about 7 a.m. Tuesday as the man ran past the woman.
After dropping pants and exposing his buttocks, he continued running and disappeared on the forested trails in the area.
He is described as white, in his early 30s and about five-foot-10 with a medium build. He had a bushy dark beard and was wearing a baseball cap, a black hoodie, grey sweat pants and dark shoes.
