An 80-year-old woman died Thursday after being struck by a pickup truck in the parking lot of Nanaimo’s Woodgrove Centre, near Walmart.
Nanaimo RCMP were called to the scene about 1:40 p.m.
Police said a 21-year-old woman was driving the truck, which has been seized for inspection.
Drugs and alcohol have been ruled out as contributing factors in the incident.
