James Allin is wanted Canada-wide after his statutory release was suspended. He was serving a sentence for armed robbery.

Victoria police believe wanted man James Allin, whom they call an immediate risk to the public, may be hiding in the downtown area.

Allin is wanted Canada-wide after his statutory release was suspended. He was serving a sentence for armed robbery.

Police say Allin should not be approached and anyone who sees him should call 911 right away.

Allin, 52, is described as white, five-foot-eight with a large build. He has brown hair, blue eyes and tattoos on both arms.

VicPD initially warned the public on Nov. 10, but renewed their efforts for the public’s assistance on Wednesday.

Police are asking anyone with information on Allin’s whereabouts to call 250-995-7654 extension 1, or to report anonymously through Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
