Two Canadian Navy ships conducted a sail past Monday afternoon before departing to take part in Operation CARIBBE with the U.S.

HMCS Saskatoon and HMCS Yellowknife are Kingston-class maritime coastal defence vessels.

Operation CARIBBE refers to Canada’s participation in the U.S.-led enhanced counter-narcotics operations in the Caribbean Sea and the eastern Pacific Ocean.

In this operation, Canadian ships and aircraft sent to the region conduct operations to help the U.S. suppress drug-trafficking in international waters.
