A pair of Good Samaritans and other witnesses are being sought after an alleged robbery just after 5 p.m. Friday in downtown Victoria.
Victoria police said initial indications are that two men might have tried to stop a third man after a robbery near View and Broad streets. It is possible that one of the men attempting to help got into a physical confrontation with the suspect, police said.
The suspect is described as a First Nations man. He is about five-foot-10 and has an acne-scarred face, police said.
The suspect was wearing a red jacket with a black-and-white stripe, over a dark hoodie. He was also wearing blue jeans and white sneakers, and had a dark backpack.
Victoria police ask that witnesses contact them at 250-995-7654.
