Victoria police are concerned about a 40-year-old man with mental-health issues who has been missing since Sunday.

Officers were asked to check on Toby Hendrick at his apartment on Sunday night at the request of his doctor, said police spokesman Const. Mike Russell.

Hendrick wasn’t there and he was last seen around 11 a.m. earlier that day in the 700 block of Pandora Avenue, near Blanshard and Quadra streets.

“Hendrick has mental-health concerns, and doctors, family and officers would like him returned to the hospital for treatment,” Russell said.

Hendrick is described as white, five-foot-11 and about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured heavy jacket, dark pants and red and white shoes. He had a maroon shoulder bag and was carrying a large black and blue duffel bag.

Victoria police ask anyone with information on Hendrick’s whereabouts to call the the non-emergency line at 250-995-7654 or their local police department.
