Two men involved in a head-on crash north of Kitimat, on Highway 37, are recovering in hospital thanks to the efforts of witnesses who helped them out of their flaming car.
RCMP said a car and a pickup truck slammed into each other Wednesday night.
The car burst into flames on impact, but the two young men inside were pulled out of the wreckage by witnesses. They were taken to hospital in Kitimat, and the driver was transferred to Vancouver General Hospital.
The driver of the truck was treated and released.
