Victoria police want to speak to two women who were in the store at the time and might have seen who started the fires.

Victoria police are investigating after a pair of fires were lit at Value Village on Saturday night, including one on a display rack, with flames reported to be up to eight feet high.

Police responded to the Store Street retail outlet after staff were alerted to the rack fire about 8:30 p.m.

Staff members were able to put the fire out with extinguishers, then were told a short time later about a second, smaller fire that a customer had managed to douse.

Officers would like to speak to two women who were in the store at the time and might have seen who started the fires.

They would also like to hear from anyone who was in the vicinity and noticed anything or anyone suspicious.

Call Victoria police with information at 250-995-7654, extension 1 or report anonymously to Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
