A hidden tracking device on an electric bicycle helped the owner get it back right after it was taken last Friday — and also led to the discovery of several other stolen items.
The owner reported the theft to Oak Bay police and told them the tracker indicated the e-bike was at a location in Victoria.
Victoria police went to the location, where a resident had also reported confronting a suspicious man on the property.
The resident told police the man ran off, leaving behind the e-bike along with sports equipment, tools and musical instruments.
The items have since been returned to their owners.
