Victoria police have identified a suspect in a punching incident at a Bastion Square restaurant, thanks to tips from the public.
The tips came in after police released an image taken from surveillance video on Friday.
They said staff stopped serving a male customer about 8:30 p.m. on March 13 after he showed signs of drug or alcohol impairment.
The man became abusive to staff, and another customer came forward to support them.
The man threatened the customer with a chair before a second customer took the chair away from him. He then punched the first customer in the face, leaving the customer with facial and dental injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate.
