Three suspects sought in Canadian Tire scam in Courtenay

The suspects are alleged to have hidden expensive items in boxes emptied of cheaper merchandise

Comox Valley RCMP have released surveillance photos of three suspects after more than $4,500 worth of welding equipment was taken from the Canadian Tire location in Courtenay on Canada Day.

Police said that boxes of inexpensive items were emptied and filled with merchandise that was considerably more costly.

It’s alleged that the suspects left the store after paying only for the inexpensive items.
