Three people were taken to hospital Friday afternoon after a serious motor vehicle accident on Quadra Island.
According to B.C. Emergency Health Services, paramedics were alerted at 12:38 p.m. and both local and Campbell River paramedics responded. Fire and police representatives were also on the scene.
One person with serious injuries was transported by air ambulance to hospital, while two others, deemed to be in stable condition, were transported off the island by ground ambulance.
B.C. Ferries’ Bowen Queen was operating 30 minutes behind schedule in the early afternoon, as the vessel was asked to transport patients.
