Saanich police arrested three people and seized illicit drugs from a home in the Gorge-Tillicum area.

Police had been investigating activities at the home on Vincent Avenue for several months.

It had been the subject of a June 21 search warrant that led to two people being charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

In March, Saanich police seized firearms from the home.

On April 13, police executed another search warrant with assistance from the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team.

Police seized drugs and evidence to support charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking against three people, two of whom were the same ones facing charges from the investigation last June. Two were held in custody and are set to appear in court later this month.

A 42-year-old woman, a two men ages 40 and 45 all face two counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

“There had been considerable police activity on Vincent Avenue for several months and we knew the neighbourhood had been concerned,” said Const. Markus Anastasiades. “We made every effort to be responsive to the needs of the community.”
