Saanich police and firefighters are investigating a suspicious fire that broke out at Home Lumber and Building Supplies early Monday morning.
Fire crews responded at 3 a.m. to the fire, which was reported by an on-site security guard. The small fire was in the external wall, said Saanich fire Lt.-Insp. Sean Lillis.
“It’s under investigation because there was another small grass fire an hour or two before that. The two together make it a little suspicious,” Lillis said.
Home Lumber and Building Supplies is located in the 400-block of Ardersier Road.
