Port Alberni RCMP are investigating a suspicious death at a city motel.
Police received a report at 6:19 p.m. Saturday that a man had sustained significant injuries at a motel on Redford Street. He died at hospital.
“At this time we are treating this death as suspicious,” said Const. Richard Johns. “There is no threat to the public and investigators are working around the clock to determine the events surrounding this death.”
The B.C. Coroners Service is also investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call Port Alberni RCMP at 250-723-2424.
