B.C. Ferries is cancelling two Sunday night sailings between Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen due to crew shortages.

The 8 p.m. sailing of the Coastal Celebration departing Swartz Bay and the 10 p.m. departing Tsawwassen have both been cancelled.

Enough staff were found to run the ferry’s 4 p.m. sailing out of Swartz Bay and the 6 p.m. sailing out of Tsawwassen. Those two sailings had been threatened by a crew shortage but B.C. Ferries was able to find enough trained staff.

Earlier in the day, B.C. Ferries had cancelled sailings of the Salish Heron and Salish Eagle between the Southern Gulf Islands and Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen due to a staffing shortage. Both of those shortages have been resolved and the vessels are expected to sail as scheduled.

Check B.C. Ferries' current conditions page or its Twitter feed for updates.
