Shots fired through windows of Surrey cab

Surrey RCMP are looking for the public’s help in connection to a shot fired through the windows of a taxicab at around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night at 102A Avenue near University Boulevard.

Surrey RCMP are looking for the public’s help in connection to a shot fired through the windows of a taxicab at around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night at 102A Avenue near University Boulevard.

A vehicle had pulled up alongside the taxi and fired through the driver side rear window. The bullet passed through the driver side rear window, through the passenger compartment and through the passenger rear window.

The taxi driver stopped his cab and the suspect vehicle drove off.

There were four passengers in the taxi and no one was injured but the two men and two women fled the scene.

Police were called but could not locate the passengers, who have not contacted authorities about the incident.

The RCMP is asking anyone that witnessed the incident or knows anything about it to contact them at 604-599-0502 or call Crime Stoppers.
