One person was sent to hospital as a precautionary measure after a three-vehicle collision on the Patricia Bay Highway near Sidney early Friday afternoon.

Southbound traffic was reduced to one lane at about 1:30 p.m., but was back to normal an hour later following a “low speed” collision involving ferry traffic, said a spokesman for the Sidney Fire Department.

Sidney Fire said the collision occurred between McDonald Park Road and Beacon Avenue.

Sidney/North Saanich RCMP and paramedics also responded, but there were no serious injuries.
