Stumped about where to take Rover for a run this summer?

Saanich is opening temporary enclosed off-leash areas for dogs in nine parks — three at a time for a month each.

From June 1 to 27, the pop-up dog parks will open at Beckwith, Gorge and Vantreight parks.

From July 1 to 26, dog owners can head to Blair, Copley East and Rudd parks.

Then, from July 30 to Sept. 6, pop-up parks will open at Fowler, Horner and Hyacinth parks.

Go to Saanich’s website to see maps of where the off-leash areas will be located in the parks.

Saanich launched the pop-up program last year to provide a safe place for dog owners to allow their pets to play off leash, while protecting wildlife, natural areas and the enjoyment of other park users.
