Saanich police are reporting a spike in thefts from vehicles in the past week, including repeat incidents at a commercial compound near Enterprise Crescent and Vanalman Avenue.
Thieves broke into vehicles parked in the area on eight occasions since September, said Sgt. Dean Jantzen, spokesman for Saanich police.
The latest incidents occurred overnight Saturday when eight vehicles were broken into in the 700 block of Enterprise.
There were also 11 incidents in the Sinclair Hill area overnight Friday, stretching to Killarney Road, Sinclair Road, Pitcombe Place and Penrhyn Street.
