Saanich police seek witnesses to Shelbourne Street bank robbery

Police were told the man, who was dressed all in black, presented a note demanding money.

Saanich police are looking for witnesses after a bank robbery on Shelbourne Street this week.

Officers responded to the 3600 block of Shelbourne Street, near Cedar Hill Cross Road, about 5 p.m. Wednesday and were told a man had presented a note demanding money.

He left through the rear doors at 5:02 p.m. and was last seen going west on Pear Street.

Police could not locate him.

The man is described as white, about 30 years old and five-foot-five with a medium build. He was wearing black clothing and a black mask.

Police would like to hear from witnesses or anyone who might have captured the suspect on dashcam video. Anyone with information is asked to call Saanich police at 250-475-4321.
