Saanich police are asking for the public’s assistance to identify a man who stole a Royal Canadian Legion Remembrance Day poppy box.
The man is described as thin with a white beard and wearing glasses.
The theft took place at a restaurant in the 4400-block of West Saanich Road on Nov. 12.
An undetermined amount of cash was taken, said Saanich police.
“This investigation remains open, and we are making efforts to identify the person who took the poppy box and donations,” said Sgt. Damian Kowalewich.
