A Dog Nation hot dog car was stolen from a Raymond Street driveway in Saanich last weekend.

Saanich police are looking for three missing items that don’t usually make their list of stolen goods.

One is a hot dog cart, bearing the logo Dog Nation, stolen from a home on Raymond Street South, near Tillicum Road. Police believe the cart, valued at about $30,000, was towed from the owner’s driveway.

The theft occurred between 11 p.m. Saturday and 1 a.m. Sunday.

“A neighbourhood canvass has not revealed any information,” said Saanich police Sgt. Steve Eassie.

He said the cart is equipped with a grill and a sink. Its B.C. licence-plate number is URL75H.

Also missing is a golf-utility cart taken Monday night from Prospect Lake Golf Course. The Club Car vehicle, complete with a silver bin on the back, was chained up and behind a locked gate.

Finally, a homeowner living on Newberry Street in the Portage Inlet area has reported a missing Zodiac. The lines securing the vessel to his dock appear to have been cut between Aug. 5 and 22, when the owner was away.

The Zodiac is light grey, just over three metres long and has a 9.9-horsepower Honda outboard motor. Its licence number is WN0925NK.

Police believe the vessel would have been taken away via the water rather than immediately hauled ashore. That could have involved the Gorge Waterway as well as Portage Inlet, police said.

Saanich police ask anyone with any information to contact them at 250-475-4321 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
