Stephen was one of the officers on the scene of a robbery in James Bay about 3 a.m. Saturday.

A 19-year-old Vancouver man had shared a taxi with three recent acquaintances, two of whom reportedly turned on him when the ride was over.

One of the men choked him and took his money. Both men then fled.

Stephen jumped from his vehicle when he saw one of the suspects running away. He took off in pursuit and had the suspect in custody within a few blocks. The second man is still being sought.
