More than 5,000 B.C. Hydro customers were without power on the Saanich Peninsula on Monday afternoon.
B.C. Hydro said 3,326 customers were still without power in Central and North Saanich about an hour and a half after the power outage was first reported at 2:35 p.m.
The power was restored about 4 p.m. B.C. Hydro said the problem was related to a substation.
