Police seek witnesses in hit-and-run where stolen vehicle hit Victoria house

A resident reported about 5:30 a.m. on March 25 that a vehicle had hit their house on Southgate Street and the driver had fled on foot

Victoria police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam video after a hit-and-run incident in which a stolen vehicle struck a house, causing significant damage.

A resident reported about 5:30 a.m. on March 25 that a vehicle had hit their house on Southgate Street and the driver had fled on foot.

Police brought in a police dog to help search for a suspect but no one was found.

The registered owner of the vehicle was contacted and it was determined it had been stolen that same morning.

Police are appealing to the driver to come forward, while witnesses or anyone with dashcam or other video from the area around the time of the crash are asked to call them at 250-995-7654.
