A Comox Valley RCMP officer is recovering from minor injuries after police responded to a report of a man with a weapon behaving erratically.
Police were called about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday to the incident in Comox, but the man had already driven away.
He was quickly located and “tactically contained,” police said.
During the arrest process, several vehicles were damaged and one officer sustained unspecified injuries.
The man arrested was given medical attention and is facing several criminal charges.
Police thanked people affected by the activity for their patience while traffic was disrupted.
