Victoria police are looking for both the perpetrator and a witness after a teenager was sexually assaulted as she got off a bus in Esquimalt.
The victim’s family contacted police Wednesday about the Dec. 4 incident.
The teen said a man followed her off the No. 15 bus as she disembarked in the 1100-block of Esquimalt Road, between Lampson and Fraser streets. He sexually assaulted her, but she was able to break free.
Shortly after the incident, the teen saw the man approach a second woman who was able to rebuff him. Police would like to speak to the woman, who is known to be a frequent user of the No. 15 bus.
The man is described white and 60 to 70 years old with a comb over and glasses. He is short with a wide build and was wearing a blazer and khakis. He was not believed to be wearing a mask.
Police ask anyone with information to contact them at 250-995-7654 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
