Saanich police are investigating two stabbings that took place in the Tillicum Centre area on Saturday night.

Police were called to Tillicum Road, near Regent Avenue and Hampton Road, at 5:20 p.m. after receiving reports of multiple stabbings in the area.

Police closed one lane of traffic and part of the Chevron Station at the Trans-Canada Highway and Tillicum intersection while they investigated.

Two men were taken to hospital with superficial injuries, police said.

Harman Lehel, a cashier at the gas station, was working when he said he saw a man walk near the gas station, apparently bleeding from his upper chest.

“I have no idea where he came from, but he was really bloody,” he said.

He said another man came in to the station asking to use a phone to call 911.
