B.C. auditor general John Doyle says complaints against police are being investigated thoroughly, respectfully and in compliance with the law.

His audit of the Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner notes, however, that most investigations were not completed in the six-month time frame specified in the Police Act and needed extensions that were granted.
